Disney was right as Funicello became The Mickey Mouse Club's top performer, and was appeared as a character in Adventures in Dairyland, her story. Funicello's potential to become a teenage celebrity was realized quickly. Disney hired Tutti Camerata an established arranger to aid her with her career as a recording artist.
